Abstract |
This presentation summarizes first the research findings on the international transfer of the Japanese management and production system that the Japanese Multinational Enterprise study Group (JMNESG) has been carrying out for over 25 years across six continents. It is not so simple, however, the query that one has put forward is, "whether, higher the degree of transferring of the Japanese elements the better the performances in local markets?" Further, advancing the research the discussion is focused on the relation between the results of transfer and the creating competitive advantages in local markets, especially in the newly developing regions such as China, India and Africa. Yet another aspect is to study to what extent the Japanese style management can be adapted to the "volume zone" or "BOP markets". |
