論題	Violent Conflicts and Economic Performance of Manufacturing Sector: Indian Regional State Level Analysis
要旨	We investigate the effects of violent conflicts on the economic performance of manufacturing sector of Indian regional states. The number of violent conflicts, the number of deaths and the number of participants in violent conflicts all has negative impacts on gross value added and capital labor ratio of manufacturing sector. Among violent conflicts, ethnic and religious conflicts, as well as those nested in a large conflict have significantly negative impacts.

論題	Welfare Analysis of Income Tax Reform for Thailand
要旨	本稿の分析対象国であるタイを含むASEAN各国では、今後少子高齢化の問題が顕在化してくるが、それら問題に備えた税制改革は遅々として進んでいない。また依然として国内には大きな貧富の格差が残り、様々な社会福祉政策拡充のために財源の確保が喫緊の課題となっている。そこで本稿では、タイの労働力調査、家計調査のマイクロデータを用いて、タイの税制改革の効果をMicro simulationの手法を用いて分析した。分析の結果からは、現行の税制を大きく改革せずとも、大幅な税収の増加が見込まれることがわかった。また、こうした税収の増加に伴う世帯厚生の減少も極めて小さいものであることが判明した。
