Overview |
|
Since we initiated a comprehensive database of Japan's multinational corporations,
"Multinational corporations database," in 1983, we have been continuously
developed various academic databases with regard to corporate management. We
call this series of database as "Corporate Information Database" and open to
the public via internet.
The "Corporate Information Database" constitutes the core of the database series, and it is the only database of corporate information in Japan.
It includes a variety of information published by Japan's leading corporations such as "company guide," "public relations magazine," "information for stockholders," "business reports," "catalogs," and the like. Also, it contains a variety of messages currently sent to the society by compani It is highly valued as very unique archives among the academics.
The materials contained in the database have a character as the precious history materials which had continuation by putting these as the important historical materials in a certain moment point to see independently and analyzing it diachronically.
These materials are categorized into pictures and documents in the database so that users can analyze them individually or collectively. Further development of database is expected to contribute the related fields of business administrations such as marketing and human resources management, sociology, and iconology as well as historical studies of corporate history and industrial history.
Corporate information database is developed thanks to the organizations, corporations, and individuals who donated corporate information and other documents in their possession and the help of many people. We would like to thank all of them here once again. Also, the Liaison Center will keep improving upon the database and would like to ask further contributions of information and documents.

You can use the database using workstations and computers that have access to the internet. All the documents are stored in PDF format.
