選好の相違の利点 The Bright Side of Divergence |
| 概要： （Abstract） |
In many cases, the cost of the agent acquiring information is lower than that of the principal. However, because of a difference in preference between the principal and the agent, the principal often cannot fully utilize the agent's advantage. This paper considers the cost of motivating the agent to acquire information and inducing him to report it truthfully. The larger the difference, the larger the cost of eliciting true information. At the same time, the difference may reduce the cost of motivating information acquisition. Thus there exist cases in which a agent with different preference is desirable. |
