(The recent movement of world economy and exchange rates)
概要：
(Abstract)		 拡大を続ける世界の経常収支不均衡は世界経済の安定にとって大きなリスクとなっている。この不均衡の核心には米国の赤字の増加とこれに対応して中国など新興国と産油国の黒字が拡大していることがある。 　世界の不均衡の縮減のためには為替レートの調整が適切な役割を果たす必要がある。新興国、特に中国の為替レートが国際競争力など経済ファンダメンタルズの変化に対応して柔軟に変動することが重要である。

One of major risks in world economy is the expanding trend of current account imbalances. The core of the global imbalances is a combination of the growing U.S. deficit and the growing surplus of emerging market countries, particularly China, and oil exporting countries.
In the process of reducing global imbalances proper functioning of exchange rate is essential. In emerging markets, particularly China, greater flexibility in exchange rates is critical to allow necessary adjustments to take place in parallel with improvement of their economic fundamentals such as international competitiveness.
