Argentina today: Political change and new economic way
概要:
(Abstract)
I intend to present the path taken by Argentine emerging from the breakdown occurred in December 2001. The political recuperation initiated by a transitional government in January 2002 in the worst of a representation crisis took a particular shift after the Presidential elections of 2003. The new President Nestor Kirchner, with a weak electoral support at the beginning, succeeded to become a popularity leader since in power, with the restoration of the presidential authority and in some way of the confidence in political life. A direct relationship with citizens deepened the already existing crisis of political parties. In the elections of October 2005 the fragmentation of political parties accentuated, and in the horizon of the Presidential elections of 2007 new coalitions around personalistic leaderships are on their way. One aspect of the Argentina recuperation is a new economic orientation. The abandonment of the peso-dollar parity and a will of regulation, particularly of enterprises of public goods in private hands, allowed an ample state intervention. The perspective of an economy overcoming stagnation and brief periods of growth is supported by a new opening to the world and a recuperation of internal market activities that have resulted in a high rate of growth the last three years (around 9%).
