研究計画
国際経営と日本におけるヒト・モノ・カネ
これまで複数の研究プログラムを実施してきたが、以下ではその中で中心となった3点について述べる。
第一に、合併・買収に関する諸研究である。
この研究プロジェクトでは(1)日本における合併・買収はどのぐらい成功しているのかを調べる事である。このプロジェクトでは一人で執筆した"Cherry Picking"を改訂し、様々な場所で報告した（例えば：財務管理学会、2010年10月；経営学会西部関西部会、2010年11月）。その上に(2)西洋あるいはアジアの投資家は日本のターゲット企業にとってどのぐらい違うかを調べた（神戸大学経営学部の鈴木健嗣先生と一緒に）。さらに日本のターゲット会社員はどう考えているのかを調べる（大阪大学の関口倫紀先生と一緒に、東京の製薬企業のインタービューと台北とヴィエトナムの学会の報告）。
第二に、コーポレート・ガバナンスと人事管理について、日本における海外駐在役員（Expatriates:以下、駐在役員と表記）の活動に焦点を当てた研究を行っている。この研究プロジェクトは現在も進行中であるが、これまでの研究成果としては、まず、トラベリング・エグゼクティブの役割と国際化はどうかについて考察する（2011年2月の国民経済雑誌の執筆）。また、マニトバ大学ブラニング（Sue Bruning）教授、デュイスブルグ大学パシャ（Wener Pascha）教授との共同研究において、企業の進出期間が長くなるほど海外駐在役員の割合が減少するというこれまでの見解に反して、企業の進出期間がある時期よりも長くなると一度減少した駐在役員の割合が再度増加することを発見した（International Journal of Human Resource Management）。さらに、大阪大学の准教授の関口倫紀先生と一緒にtop management teamの研究も行った（International Journal of Human Resource Management）。
第三に、カッセル大学のフュナベルグ(Reinhard Huenerberg)教授とアメリカのグリーンスポロウ大学キシェトリ（Nir Kshetri）教授と共に日本の流通システムがドイツ企業に及ぼす影響に関する共同研究を行っている（European Journal of International Management, forthcoming Aug.2012）。（キシェトリ教授は2011年の5月に神戸で2ヶ月間滞在する間に様々な研究を行った。）
